Purchase Information
If you decide to come to Altinkum and view any of our properties, we can arrange accommodation and airport transfers at reasonable costs.
What do I have to pay when I purchase?
- Purchase Tax is approx 1.5% of the selling price (buyer to pay)
- Electric and water registered to the new owners name £400.00
- Estate Agents commission is 3% of the selling price
- Community Tax is paid annually for local services (approx £8.00)
- Property Tax is 0.5% of the property price paid annually (approx £50.00 - £60.00)
- Cost of Solicitor £250.00
- Government Tax £100.00
- Translator Fees £50.00
- Power of Attorney £80.00
Please note: Items 6, 7 and 8 are paid during the contract procedure.
Item 1 is paid upon receipt of the title deeds (Tapu).
Item 2 is paid when the electric and water meters are registered in the purchasers name.
Item 9 is payable if a person cannot come to Turkey to collect their title deeds. Power of Attorney can be signed over to us and we can collect on behalf of the client.
Payments 1,2,3,6,7,8 and 9 are one off payments. Items 4 and 5 are paid annually.
Whether you are purchasing for pleasure or re-locating we will be happy to discuss your requirements with you prior to viewing. When we have found your ideal property and a price agreed, a contract will then be drawn up between yourselves and the seller of the property (using a solicitor) this confirms the price and any other details that may have been agreed upon. At this point a deposit is paid to the seller and dates of your future payments are agreed on. Two passport photographs are required of the person(s) whose name(s) will be on the title deeds as well as a photocopy of your passport(s). Should you decide you would like us to collect the title deeds on your behalf we will arrange Power of Attorney with you at this time. We will then continue with transactions such as permission from, the Military and registration of the property into your name(s)
